This tour is very special, very unique. Mostly unknown, no tourists! An absolutely Highlight for those who would like to discover the hidden and important sights of Austria. A visit to Eckartsau palace! will give you an understanding, of how Europe was formed after World War I.

At the end of WWI, the Habsburg power came to an end.

November 11th Eckartsau was the setting for the final act in the 640 years  rule of the Habsburgs. The hunting lodge, which was used very often by Archduke Francis Ferdinand (shot in Sarajevo 1914) lies to the east of Vienna, only 15miles away. Once in Eckartsau we will see the delightful gardens and as well we will get inside the palace to visit the former imperial living rooms and the servants quarter.
